Impressions of the hiking tour 'Reit im Winkl - Winter'
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival by own arrangement
by car to the hotel in Reit im Winkl
by rail to Prien am Chiemsee Railway Station
and by public bus to the hotel in Reit im Winkl.
First arrival on 13th January,
last arrival on 24th March.
Day 2: Guided Walk-through
Monday at 10 am from the tourist office
guided tour through Reit im Winkl with information about the village and its facilities,
followed by an individual site visit or further information.
One more word about winter hiking in Reit im Winkl:
Besides two well marked and prepared premium winter hiking trails
the village has a number of other well-maintained paths.
In addition, there are marked paths for snowshoe hiking
and a multitude of groomed cross-country ski trails.
Appropriate equipment can be rented in local sports shops.
The tourist office is at your disposal for further information.
Day 3: Hike Kaiser View
This Premuimweg begins at the ballroom near the cross-country stadium,
with an unobstructed view of the Kaisergebirge, the tame and wild emperor,
this beautiful winter hiking trail leads into the Lofer Valley, in a large arch
to the district Groissenbach and finally back to the cross-country stadium
(about 6 km).
Day 4:
First ascent with a special minibus to the Hindenburghütte at 1260 m,
(Costs payable to the driver),
Start of the circular hike on the Premiumweg
through a wonderful, like enchanted winter wonderland,
over alpine pastures and to the lonely situated Annakapelle,
from there back to the Hindenburghütte,
which after this hike offers a welcome stop in the warm room,
later with the bus back down to Reit im Winkl
(about 6 km).
Day 5:
On the premium route Kaiserblick to Loferau,
at the junction direction Benzeck and further up to Blindau
and on to the Steinbach estate of the von Moltke family,
after a stop on the road down to the Lofer Valley
and via the district Entfelden back to Reit im Winkl
(approx. 8 km).
Day 6:
Hike according to our suggestions in the travel documents,
Winter hike around the village or
Snowshoe hiking tour or
cross-country skiing tour or
Visit to the sunny plateau Winklmoosalm (1160-1870 m)
with a stop at one of the many inns.
Day 7:
Hike according to our suggestions in the travel documents,
Winter hike around the village or
Snowshoe hiking tour or
cross-country skiing tour or
Visit to the sunny plateau Winklmoosalm (1160-1870 m)
with a stop at one of the many inns.
Day 8: Return home
train passengers with the public bus to Prien station on Chiemsee,
from there further respectively home journey.

Individual hiking tours in Germany can be hiked at the stated times without a hiking guide, also by individuals. We provide you with all of the necessary materials, such as hiking map, tour description, etc.
Guided hiking tours in Germany differ from the individual tours in that an experienced guide with local knowledge accompanies you during the entire tour.
On our fixed quarters tours you start out on a hike every day from your fixed quarters, on a route that will lead you back to your hotel. We arrange all necessary transfers, which are usually provided by the local hotels.
