8 days Jurasteig, 1st section (6 stages)
From Kelheim to Hohenburg, ca. 110 km
Day 1: Arrival in Kelheim an der Donau
Day 2: Kelheim – Bad Abbach (20 km, 470 m ascent)
Day 3: Bad Abbach - Schönhofen (17 km, 460 m ascent)
Day 4. Schönhofen – Pielenhofen (15 km, 350 m ascent)
Day 5: Pielenhofen – Kallmünz (18 km, 420 m ascent)
Day 6: Kallmünz – Schmidmühlen (20 km, 430 m ascent)
Day 7: Schmidmühlen - Hohenburg (15 km, 290 m ascent)
Day 8: Departure from Hohenburg, or rest day, or continue hiking
8 days Jurasteig, 2nd section (7 stages)
From Hohenburg to Kelheim, ca. 130 km
Day 1: Arrival in Hohenburg
Day 2: Hohenburg – Kastl (17 km, 540 m ascent)
Day 3: Kastl - Oberwiesenacker (16 km, 520 m ascent)
Day 4: Oberwiesenacker – Deining (19 km, 310 m ascent)
Day 5. Deining – Holnstein (21 km, 400 m ascent)
Day 6: Holnstein – Dietfurt (16 km, 210 m ascent)
Day 7: Dietfurt – Riedenburg (20 km, 410 m ascent)
Day 8: Riedenburg – Weltenburg Monastery (18 km, 580 m ascent)
From the monastery to Kelheim you have two options: either by Danube boat, or a 4 km hike along the banks of the Danube.
Day 9: Departure from Kelheim
Arrival
Every Sunday from April to November, individual arrival on other days also possible upon request!
By car or rail to Kelheim (Kelheim-Saal Railway Station)
Free parking near the hotel
Rail travellers can take a short trip by taxi to the hotel (ca. 8 EUR).
Departure
By rail: Return home from Kelheim-Saal or Hohenburg Railway Station (depending on where the hike ends).
By car: Return to your car by bus and rail.

Individual hiking tours in Germany can be hiked at the stated times without a hiking guide, also by individuals. We provide you with all of the necessary materials, such as hiking map, tour description, etc.
Guided hiking tours in Germany differ from the individual tours in that an experienced guide with local knowledge accompanies you during the entire tour.
On our fixed quarters tours you start out on a hike every day from your fixed quarters, on a route that will lead you back to your hotel. We arrange all necessary transfers, which are usually provided by the local hotels.
