Sunday: Arrival

Arrival by own arrangement by car or rail to the hotel at Achensee, free parking. Jenbach, public bus free of charge.

Monday: Hike around the Achensee

Easy hike to get to know the region, on the imposing panoramic trail on the western shore of the Achensee, via the Gaisalm to Pertisau. Ibexes can be seen frequently in the Gaisalm Ravine (ca. 3 hours, 200 m ascent). By ship or public bus back to Achenkirch, possibility to visit the local history museum there in the 700 year-old Sixenhof.

Tuesday:

Take the Regiobus to the centre of the village (bus stop Gemeindeamt)! From there you walk with the mountain guide to the biomass heating plant and follow the forest path to the Adlerhorst (1230 m). After a short ascent we reach the panorama path to the Zöhreralm (1334m). Here we enjoy the fantastic view of valley and lake. On the road we walk back down to the starting point (approx. 3.5 hours, 400 m)

Wednesday:

Ride with the Regiobus to Pertisau to the valley station of the Karwendelbergbahn.
From here we walk on the panorama path to the contemplation path, later the tunnel path, to the Bärenbadalm
(here we recommend a lunch stop)! From the Bärenbadalm we either walk to the top station
Karwendelbergbahn (approx. 20 minutes) and take the gondola into the valley (€ 15 with the guest card)
OR descent on the northeast side through the Bärenbaderwald back to the starting point.
On this hike you have fantastic views of the lake and the Karwendel and Rofan mountains.
Do not forget your guest card! Return journey with the Regiobus (approx. 3.5 hours, 500 Hm).

Thursday:

From the parking lot of the Christlum high alpine lifts we hike through the Unterautal first to the Gröbner Hals (1,650 m),
from where we have a wonderful view into the Karwendel. Then we descend to the stone oil distillery, where we have the opportunity for a cosy stop.
Afterwards an exclusive guided tour through the stone oil distillery awaits us. After the tour we will be picked up there by the bus. The bus ride takes us over the Sylvenstein Reservoir back to the starting point. The paths are easy, but require some stamina (approx. 700 Hm).
Costs: For the bus transfer from the Bächental, an amount of € 15,- (as of October 2024) per person will be charged! To be paid directly to the mountain guide or bus driver!

Hike to the Moosenalm under the motto: "Where chamois and marmot meet" (May, June, October)
Hike from the car park of the Christlum high alpine lifts together with the ranger of the Karwendel Nature Park into the wildly romantic Unterautal and further up to the Moosenalm (1495 m).
There we watch the game of the marmots with our Swarovski binoculars and with a little luck we can spot chamois and ibex at the foot of the Schreckenspitze (approx. 5 hours, 500 Hm)

Friday:

Ride with the Regiobus to Maurach/valley station Rofanseilbahn
With the gondola it goes up to the Rofan. From the top station of the Rofan cable car, take the E4 to the Grubasattel
(with view of the Grubasee) and further on to the Rofanspitze!
Enjoy a magnificent mountain panorama with wonderful views partly as far as the Großglockner! (approx. 4 -4.5 hours, 450 Hm).
Ascent and descent by cable car (€ 25,50 per person with the guest card, status 2024)

Saturday: At your own disposal

Depending on the weather and the order of the tours, the free day might be on another day!

Sunday: Return home by own arrangement

Rail travellers to Jenbach Railway Station, public bus free of charge.
