Day 1: Flight to Florence

Flight from Germany to Florence, transfer to the hotel in Greve in Chianti (departure approx. 3 pm, transfer time ca. 1 hours). Flight costs are not included in the price. Upon request we can book a cheap flight for you from your nearest airport.

Day 2: Hike from Quattro Strade to Greve

By hotel bus to the start at la Quattro Strade, hike along a pretty hillside path to the ruined church of San Martino in Valle, from there to Castello Verrazano, ascent to Querciolina, then back down to the hotel in Greve in Chianti
(270 m ascent, 13 km, 4,5 hours).

Day 3: Hike to San Gimignano

San Gimignano is located gloriously on a hill, rising above a beautiful Tuscan hilly landscape, and with its many towers it is one of the jewels in the crown of Tuscany. First by hotel bus to Poggibonsi, from there a hike along elevated panoramic trails through vineyards up to the San Gimignano
(ca. 330 m ascent, 12 km, 3,5 hours). Return by hotel bus.

Day 4: Florence

By public bus to Florence, the capital city of Tuscany. Guided tour lasting ca. 3 hours through a city on the Arno, so rich in art and culture, including the Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio, Santa Maria del Fiore, among other sights. In the afternoon there will be enough time to discover the city on your own, or to visit one of the many museums. Back to Greve in Chianti by public bus.

Day 5: High-altitude hike to Castello Volpaia

By hotel bus to the start at Passo del Sugame at an altitude of 530 m. Hike from there to the Pian della Canonica and continue uphill, with wide views of the landscape, to Monte San Michele, at 890 m the highest part of the hike. Continue through the nature conservation area and then down to Castello di Volpaia for a refreshment stop
(360 m ascent, 12 km, 4 hours). Back to Greve in Chianti by hotel bus.

Day 6: Siena

By hotel bus in the morning to Siena, a city that has preserved its medieval appearance. Guided tour lasting ca. 2 hours through narrow streets to small, sleepy squares, to the Duomo Santa Maria, an overwhelming building constructed from black (green) and white marble, the colours of Siena; to the shell-shaped, red-brick Piazza del Campo, the Fonte Gaia, surrounded by cafés, restaurants and palaces, and Palazzo Pubblico, with its towering town hall tower, which can be reached by 412 steps. The world-famous horse race, the Palio di Siena, is held here on the square every year. After the guided tour there is sufficient time at your own disposal. Back to Greve in Chianti by hotel bus.

Day 7: Hike to Lamole and wine tasting

Ascend with lovely views of the town of Greve to the small mountain village of Montefioralle, with its picturesque medieval buildings. Along a quiet ridgeway with wide views to Panzano, then after a break on to Lamole, a small mountain village. Refreshment stop in a guest house and a wine tasting with cheese and jam
(ca. 440 m ascent, 12 km, 4 hours). Back to Greve in Chianti by hotel bus.

Day 8: Return home

After breakfast, bus transfer to Florence Airport (departure approx. 10 am)
