Germany’s flattest premium hiking trail – a 59 km route with only 68 m elevation difference. The lowest point lies at 405 m, the highest at 473 m. In total: 88 m of ascent and 125 m of descent.

The chain of lakes along the route was created by gravel mining, but in many places has already been reclaimed by climbing plants and water lilies. A fascinating habitat – the floodplain forest

The DonAUwald was formed by regular flooding and is considered one of the largest continuous forest areas along German rivers. It is home to countless animal and plant species. The floodplains are also important resting places for migratory birds. The rich flora of the floodplain forest includes rare orchids and daffodil species.
