Wine hiking trail Rhine-Nahe
The wine-growing country Nahe is mostly located in the natural park Soonwald-Nahe. Indeed is the wine-growing district Nahe one of the smallest in Germany, but at the same time one of the most multifaceted.
At the south edge of the natural park Soonwald-Nahe the hiking trail takes its course alongside of the Nahe from Bingen to Kirn and presents thereby the small scaled landscape like from a terrace. At the same time the hiking trail opens up the access to the entire wine-growing region of the medium and lower Nahe.
Groups of rocks, deep cuttings, castles, forests, meadows and vineyards are bordering the hiking trail, which visits the small as well as the large towns in the Nahe country.
The wine hiking trail shows the complete variety of the landscape at the Nahe, particularly the utilisation of the region for the wine-growing. In clearly wavy course the distances take turns across the Nahe highs with flat sections in the valley of the Nahe.
Climbs and descents are not very steep, they are ranging mostly over hillsides on wine-growing economical ways, no special fitness required.
From Bingen at the Rhine to Kirn at the Nahe, 100 km distance hiking with baggage transport at hotel exchange.

1st Day: Arrival in Bingen at the Rhine
2nd Day: Bingen – Guldental/Bretzenheim (18/22 km)
3rd Day: Guldental/Br. - Bad Münster am Stein (22/18 km)
4th Day: Bad Münster a.St. - Waldböckelheim (20 km)
5th Day: Waldböckelheim - Monzingen (21 km)
6th Day: Monzingen - Kirn (17 km)
7th Day: Departure from Kirn rather ride back to Bingen

3rd Day: Guldental - Bad Kreuznach (18 km)

5th Day: Niedernhausen - Staudernheim (17 km)
6th Day: Staudernheim - Weiler (15 km)
7th Day: Weiler - Kirn (13 km)
8th Day: Departure from Kirn rather ride back to Bingen

Arrival:

With the car or by train by your own to the first hotel of the tour in Bingen, hotel garage for a fee, public parking lot for free.
At arrival by train till the station Bingerbrück, from there on with the taxi to the hotel (approx. EUR 10).

Departure:
|
The hiking across the wine hiking trails ends in Kirn, last accommodation in the local hotel. At the next day trip home by your own.
Train passengers: Ride home from station Kirn, the hotel keeper brings the baggage to the station.
Car drivers: Ride back to Bingen by train from station in Kirn, the baggage will be brought by the hotel keeper to the station.
